4-consulting were commissioned by New Directions (foundation for European reform) to examine the broad economic and social benefits of research and innovation. Our report evaluated the economic benefits of recent medical innovations to help better understand role of research and innovation in the supply chain of medical treatment development.
One of our case studies showed the number of people suffering from low vision in Europe could reach over 30 million people. Improved access to new therapies and services to tackle eyesight related diseases could benefit Europe’s economy and society by up to €50 billion. Our report is available online.
“The policy and modelling work undertaken by 4-consulting helped us produce a clear and robust series of reports.”
Tom Miers, Director of New Direction Foundation for European Reform (August 2014)
